At River Valley Community Health, we offer the Following COVID-19 services

  • Nasal swab to determine whether you have an active COVID-19 infection.
  • Rapid 15-minute Molecular NAAT test
  • Rapid 15-minute Antigen test, most common type of test, less accurate than molecular
  • PCR send out. Standard test results take less than 2 and provided by Interpath Laboratories 
  • Antibody test to determine evidence of past COVID infection.
  • Rapid IgG+IgM 15-minute test (Blood)
  • Sent out to Interpath Labs IgG+IgM, normally 2 days for results provided by Interpath Laboratories

To be eligible for a COVID-19 nasal swab test at our clinic and covered by your insurance, you must:

  • Be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms OR
  • Have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 5-14 days

This is a drive-through visit, evaluation, and test.

As we have done in the past, we partner with  Centralia Pharmacy for vaccinations and together we will deliver vaccinations to our portion of the county as we are allowed to have them and according to state instruction on who can sign up at each stage.

Demand for vaccines is much higher than current supplies. Please be patient as we work with state and federal employees to improve access and work around the clock to get vaccines to you, our valued patients!

Anyone with any symptom of COVID-19 will be tested (cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills/repeated shaking with chills, new muscle pain, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion, runny nose, new loss of taste or smell, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea).


You will see a medical provider and be evaluated. The provider will then test you if deemed medically necessary. We will bill your insurance for the visit and lab. If you do not have insurance, the cost will be $130 for the Molecular, $100 for Antigen, and $80 for antibody testing. If the option is sent out either PCR or Antibody the charge for the procedure is $45 and you will be billed by the lab (Interpath Laboratories) for the test.

If you don’t have any symptoms of COVID-19, but you’ve either been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or had possible exposure (e.g. in a large crowd with little or no mask-wearing, less than 6 feet of physical distancing, no mask, exposure was more than 15 minutes), you will see a medical provider and then be decided if deemed medically necessary or not.

Travelling and Returning to Work are not reasons deemed medically necessary and are NOT covered by insurance. Thus, while anyone can be tested for any reason you will subject to cash price. The cost will be $130 for the Molecular, $100 for Antigen and $80 for antibody testing. If the option is sent out either PCR or Antibody the charge for the procedure is $45 and you will be billed by the lab (Interpath Laboratories) for the test.

Yes, we offer nasal swab testing for all ages, including babies and young children. Antibody testing is available for ages 16 and up.

Please consult with your surgeon/provider about how to get a test. Currently, we do not offer pre-surgical COVID testing. This is not covered by insurance. The cash pay option is available but if you check with your surgeon/provider who is requiring the test, normally they have free options available at their facility or local partners.

Our Rapid Tests both Molecular NAAT, Antigen and Antibody take 15 minutes. Sent out test times can vary. For standard nasal swab tests, you can expect to receive results in less than 2 days from Interpath Laboratories. Antibody test generally also take 2-3 days.

In-person if doing rapid onsite testing will receive test results page in 15 minutes. If sent out, we will call you and/or mail the results to you.

COVID testing is NOT free. If you have insurance, we will bill it.

Many communities offer FREE testing options. Please check with your county health department for a list.

You may see information on Google such as “anyone can be tested” and “free COVID testing.” This is not true, and we suggest you always verify COVID testing information and criteria with any doctor or organization before you go there to be tested.

MultiCare is offering the test in response to consumer requests. The benefits of antibody testing remain uncertain and should not be used for diagnosis of COVID-19 at this time. Nasal swab testing is the most reliable test for determining an “active” case of COVID-19.

When deemed medically necessary these tests are covered by insurance.
If you do not have insurance, the self-pay rate is $80 call the clinic if you have questions about self-pay pricing.

We work closely with any local employer that contacts us, we have group testing options and will also have vaccination plans as vaccines become more available.
